Well the day after the 4th of July, surprisingly, I already had my weekend planned out for me. That Saturday morning, I biked up to Mav's place to drive to the park near Anthony and Amanda's house near Jet Wing. We were supposed to meet up with everyone at the park at noon, which we did, but everyone showed up late. For almost an hour, Alex, Mav, and I sat around with our jug of water waiting for the others to show so we can get some basketball going on. We kinda got tired of waiting for them, so Alex asked the kid nearby with a basketball to play with their ball. Knowing us, we didn't think smartly to bring a basketball with us just in case people showed up late. Eventually though, the others showed up. Anthony, Geoff Piechowski, Matt, and Amanda showed up. Shortly after, Robert Pruitt showed up to play as well. We played a couple of games of 3-on-3. After an hour or two of basketball, we went back to Mav's place to go get ready for Fort Collin's. I biked home from Mav's to go get ready and take a shower as well.
Before we left to Fort Collin's, we had a little problem with transportation. In the end though, Kevin and Alex ended up just staying behind for the trip to Fort Collins. In Giane's car, it was Giane, Julie, Steve, and I. In Darien's car, it was Darien, Mav, RJ, Cameron, and Darien's cousin's, Victoria and Stella. We got there around night time at Fort Collin's. Before we headed to Patrick's place, we stopped by at Chipotle to get something to eat, finally. After eating that, we finished it off with some dessert at Cold Stone. I was pissed tasting the Cold Stone cause knowing that there's no Cold Stone near in the Springs. Anyways, after eating dinner, we finally arrived to Patrick's, even though we got slightly lost.
The night had just begun from there. Compared to the other times we went to that house, this time the house had every room themed and lit up with different colored bulbs. When I first walked into the house, the living room looked almost like a rave-like environment. There was two computers running at once behind the DJ's booth and there was a smoke machine and streaming lights flashing throughout the room. Near the kitchen and by the living room, there was a bar set up with Mike, the bartender for most of the night, ready to make drinks. The other two open rooms had different colored lights as well as different music playing in each of them. One room was lit blue while the other is lit red. I went to go to the red room where the hookah was at. Outside in the backyard was a beer pong set up and ready to go. During the middle of the party, I ended up actually getting the munchies. So in result, Mav and I went to a nearby gas station to pick up some stuff and Taco Bell to pick up some food. Let's just say the night was classic. Hookah, beer pong, music, hanging out at the roof of the house, watching out from dog doodoo in the kitchen, socializing with everyone. The night was basically ultra fun. I mean, even sleeping on the coffee table wasn't too bad. It was actually pretty relaxing when I woke up the next morning.
The next morning turned out pretty boring for the most part because everyone was sleeping or just wasn't there. When everyone finally got up Ryan E., Patrick, Giane, Steve, Hannah, Julie, and I went to Olive Garden to get some lunch. Pretty much everyone got the soup and salad there. After a couple hours of eating and then socializing in the parking lot, we finally started to head out back to the Springs. The time it took us to get back to the Springs felt like it was double the time it should've took probably because Giane was driving slow cause of the rain and her messed up wind shield wipers. It was all good though. We eventually got home around 6 the night. Right after brushing my teeth, putting on some clothes and fixing up my hair, I quickly left to go to Genna's house to celebrate her birthday. That's where I basically concluded my night. We watched the Olympic trials and this dancing show on MTV, ate a bit, talked a bit, and played some cards. It was a pretty fun way to conclude this 4th of July weekend.
Fourth of July's usually mean that you're gonna have BBQ's with the fam. That's what we did before I left to go do anything. Around 3:30, I left to go bike to Quail Lake Park to meet the peoples up for some basketball and hanging out. This was the first time I experimented with a sweater on a hot sunny day to prevent getting any darker. Surprisingly, I didn't sweat as much as I thought from wearing a sweater. When I arrived to the park, the first person I noticed was Dennis. I thought he wasn't going to come because no one was answering his house phone. We waited there for a little while till Jeff, Jon, and Matt showed up. After we chilled there for close to an hour, Anthony, Amanda, and Steven showed up. We started to play a game of 21 for a bit. We finally got the games going when Ray, Rudy, Ed, Robert, and Michael showed up. We played basketball all the way till around 7:30. After I biked home, I hopped in the shower and got picked up by my sister to go to Mav's place.
We ate when we got there. Oh my gosh dude, the BBQ beef that they had was simply amazing. After we stuffed ourselves with food, we went outside to have our little photo shoot with fireworks. It was Giane, Julie, Mav, Alex, Kevin, and I that were in this little shoot. Out of all of the fireworks that neighborhood used, the best one I thought was used was the windmill one where the thing was spinning. It was pretty sweet. After the photo shoot, I ate a little more and we just chilled out for about an hour before we headed out to Kevin's to chill yet again and watch a movie. That's where we basically concluded the night. For some reason though, I was feeling REALLY sleepy, REALLY early. I was like passing out on them at Kevin's while we just sitting there. I thought I really didn't do much that day, but I guess today really exhausted me out.
