So pretty much, nothing really happened the past 3 days except for two things.
1. I went out to eat with Kristie, Joy, and Darlene at Macaroni Grill, then went and hung out at her house along with Matt, Nick, and Keanan.
2. I went to climb the Pike's Peak Incline with Darlene and Joy.
Everything in between's not really important to tell you the truth. All that really happened was that I did a lot of biking and going to the gym. Well at Radioshack at the Cheyenne Mountain Center, I bought a 32 in 1 multimedia card reader so I can finally make use of my 4 gb SDHC card that's been sitting in my room for like ever since my computer doesn't read SDHC's and my Lumix camera doesn't support it. Other than a lot of downloading to stock up for entertainment for when I'm in college (and I'll get more into that later), nothing really new has been happening to me.
Yahh, so the Monday after the Independence Day Weekend started really early for me, but late for some lol. I woke up around 10 that morning and called Jon to confirm our plans for that day, which was racquetball at Fort Carson at noon. Around 11:30 to a quarter till, I started biking up to his house to carpool with him along with Darlene and Keanan. When we arrived there, pretty much all of us were rusty for some odd reason. We were like missing the "gimme shots" and what not. Eventually though, we all shook off the rust and began playing some intense games. The most intense I had that day was playing one on one against Keanan in back to back games. There were several times during the game where the score stayed the same because the possession of the ball kept switching back and forth. After three hours of hardcore racquetball, we went out to Taco Bell to grab some lunch, special thanks to Mrs. Pugh. From there, we went back to Jon's house to hang out for a while. That basically concluded that night.
The next day was basically dull and boring to me all the way till I got outta the gym. I didn't leave my house till about 4-5 that afternoon to bike to the gym. I got outta there around 6:30 to meet everyone up at Baskin Robbin's for the usual Dollar Scoop. When I got there, I didn't notice the news till I actually got in line. There was no more Dollar Scoop. Starting that day, they changed to $1.25 Scoop. How freakin' lame is that !? Yahh, it really got me heated. I mean, first they freakin' raised the price of the Tuesday special at Popeye's gradually from $.89 to a whopping $1.19. But now they had to change the price for freakin' Dollar Scoop ?!? *Sigh* Well thank goodness I'm heading out of this atrocity come next month. From there, I can probably find a new place to treat myself. Anyways, after eating some ice cream, people wanted to hang out, but I was sorta in a cookie cause I had my bike with me. Thanks to Jeff though, I was able to carpool with him along with my bike, Nick, Jason, and Keanan to go to Fortuna to meet up with Amanda, Kailaini, and Briana. I didn't really eat anything there cause I was trying to save some money, but the others did. Once we finished up eating, we basically dropped my bike off at home then Steven, Nick, Keanan, and I all went to the Antiques Billiard Museum to play some pool. And eventually, Robert, Ed, and Ray came up there as well.
Well the day after the 4th of July, surprisingly, I already had my weekend planned out for me. That Saturday morning, I biked up to Mav's place to drive to the park near Anthony and Amanda's house near Jet Wing. We were supposed to meet up with everyone at the park at noon, which we did, but everyone showed up late. For almost an hour, Alex, Mav, and I sat around with our jug of water waiting for the others to show so we can get some basketball going on. We kinda got tired of waiting for them, so Alex asked the kid nearby with a basketball to play with their ball. Knowing us, we didn't think smartly to bring a basketball with us just in case people showed up late. Eventually though, the others showed up. Anthony, Geoff Piechowski, Matt, and Amanda showed up. Shortly after, Robert Pruitt showed up to play as well. We played a couple of games of 3-on-3. After an hour or two of basketball, we went back to Mav's place to go get ready for Fort Collin's. I biked home from Mav's to go get ready and take a shower as well.
Before we left to Fort Collin's, we had a little problem with transportation. In the end though, Kevin and Alex ended up just staying behind for the trip to Fort Collins. In Giane's car, it was Giane, Julie, Steve, and I. In Darien's car, it was Darien, Mav, RJ, Cameron, and Darien's cousin's, Victoria and Stella. We got there around night time at Fort Collin's. Before we headed to Patrick's place, we stopped by at Chipotle to get something to eat, finally. After eating that, we finished it off with some dessert at Cold Stone. I was pissed tasting the Cold Stone cause knowing that there's no Cold Stone near in the Springs. Anyways, after eating dinner, we finally arrived to Patrick's, even though we got slightly lost.
The night had just begun from there. Compared to the other times we went to that house, this time the house had every room themed and lit up with different colored bulbs. When I first walked into the house, the living room looked almost like a rave-like environment. There was two computers running at once behind the DJ's booth and there was a smoke machine and streaming lights flashing throughout the room. Near the kitchen and by the living room, there was a bar set up with Mike, the bartender for most of the night, ready to make drinks. The other two open rooms had different colored lights as well as different music playing in each of them. One room was lit blue while the other is lit red. I went to go to the red room where the hookah was at. Outside in the backyard was a beer pong set up and ready to go. During the middle of the party, I ended up actually getting the munchies. So in result, Mav and I went to a nearby gas station to pick up some stuff and Taco Bell to pick up some food. Let's just say the night was classic. Hookah, beer pong, music, hanging out at the roof of the house, watching out from dog doodoo in the kitchen, socializing with everyone. The night was basically ultra fun. I mean, even sleeping on the coffee table wasn't too bad. It was actually pretty relaxing when I woke up the next morning.
The next morning turned out pretty boring for the most part because everyone was sleeping or just wasn't there. When everyone finally got up Ryan E., Patrick, Giane, Steve, Hannah, Julie, and I went to Olive Garden to get some lunch. Pretty much everyone got the soup and salad there. After a couple hours of eating and then socializing in the parking lot, we finally started to head out back to the Springs. The time it took us to get back to the Springs felt like it was double the time it should've took probably because Giane was driving slow cause of the rain and her messed up wind shield wipers. It was all good though. We eventually got home around 6 the night. Right after brushing my teeth, putting on some clothes and fixing up my hair, I quickly left to go to Genna's house to celebrate her birthday. That's where I basically concluded my night. We watched the Olympic trials and this dancing show on MTV, ate a bit, talked a bit, and played some cards. It was a pretty fun way to conclude this 4th of July weekend.
I didn't really get up to do anything till like noon. Around 1 or 2, I finally got my ass up to go to the Old Town Bike Shop in downtown on Tejon to go fix up the gear cable on my bike. It was pretty sweet to look at the different types of bike that they had. I learned a lot from looking around at that shop. Basically to have a quality bike, you're gonna need to drop some big bucks on it. To sum everything up about bikes, titanium framed bikes>steel alloy bikes. Anyways, the repair guy did a great job repairing my bike. The service there was great and everything; I recommend going there if anything happens to your bike. Well after I got home, I ate a tuna sandwich and I packed an extra "triple stacked" tuna sandwich for dinner on the go. So after, I left to go bike to the gym and get a quick weights workout.
I wanted to go on base on my bike to go meet up with Jon and Jeff, but as I was approaching the B Street Gate, the sign basically concluded that they would not let me in without a safety reflector vest and a bicycle helmet. So what I ended up doing was biking all the way back home to go grab my car. I thought I was going to be late meeting up with them like usual. Fortunately though, they were the ones late because Jeff left his ID lol. We ended up going to the Waller Gym since the other one we usually go to closed earlier. The racquetball court there was slightly different compared to the other gym's. The ceiling was higher and the walls seemed closer. Like the first game we had seemed really frustrating because everything for me was going too long in my serves. After a while though, I started to kill it. After that day of racquetball, I started to really like this game a lot. I mean, I can finally say that this is much easier compared to tennis now lol.
When I got home, Julie and I went back to Fort Carson to watch some firework near the park formally known as Iron Horse Park. The fireworks were pretty nice from the view that we had. After those 20 or so minutes of fireworks, we drove to Giane's to meet the others up. We missed a huge event though at Tinseltown. So something happened I guess with the movie Hancock, so they started to give away free tickets. Maybe I should've went and got some lol. Well after sitting around trying to figure out what to eat, Giane, Mav, and I went to King Soopers to go pick up some candies and pizzas and fruit punch while Julie, Kevin, Alex, Steve, and Art stayed at Giane's. When we got back, we watched an episode or two of In Living Color while the food was cooking. When the pizza got done, I ended up eating about six or seven slices haha. Well we finished the movie watch the movie 23 with Jim Carrey.
Today I tried out a whole bunch of new things. I started the day by waking up really early to bike up a quarters way through the city. It surprised me how fast it took me to get to Anthony's place from my house. With just a regular pace, it took me less than 30 minutes to get from the end of South Academy to the end of Jetwing. When I got there, Anthony and Amanda basically just woke up. After they got ready, we all left to go and watch the Colorado Torpedoes's swim meet up somewhere on the west side of Rockrimmon. It surprised me with the kind of pool they were using. This was the first time I seen an outdoor competitive pool, besides Fort Carson of course. The pool, not only was outside, but also only had four lanes. The amount of events also surprised me. In total, there were about 65 events all together. For me, I was used to going to swim meets with just 12 or 13 swim events.
After the swim meet ended, we went back to their house to figure out what was going on for the rest of the day. We were supposed to play basketball but a lot of the people weren't able to show up, so we delayed the event till this Saturday, the day after the 4th of July. So instead, I decided to just bike up to the mall to meet up with Joy. I came by a huge problem though. I biked close to Academy on Fountain, but then I hit a HUGE bump which cause my rear tire to explode. I ended up walking about a half mile to Sam's Club. There I tried to look for an replacement inner tube, but I had no luck. After eating a slice of pizza and attempting to looking for an inner tube, I kinda decided to try and walk towards the Target near Citadel Mall. On the way out of Sam's Club, I ended up running into my Ninong Larry. He volunteered to help me out and give me a ride to Target. Fortunately, Joy showed up to and I decided to just ride with her to get the replacement inner tube. The inner tube that I bought though ended up being the two inches too large. I ended up exchanging it later on that day. At the mall, Joy and I met up with Christine and got some Steak and Bake. Christine got that new Strawberry Lemonade Julius which, not surprisingly, tasted like the freckled lemonade from Red Robin's. At Hollister, I fell asleep while I helped Joy and Christine decide the clothes they wanted to buy. I had to admit, this nap was probably the best I ever had at the mall haha. After the mall, I really wanted to bike home, but for the first time I've seen in a long time, it started to rain. After I got home, I made myself even more mad by snapping the gear cable on my bike just after I repaired my tire. So after that, I backed out from watching a movie (Hancock) to take a nice nap.Nothing really happened at all till later that night. Before that, all my ass did was bike everywhere, from Target to Border's to 24 Hour Fitness. I thought I was gonna head to Fort Carson's gym that night, but yahh, that plan for me tanked. So I chilled at the house watching movies feeling tired as hell. Eventually though, around 9:30, I was convinced to get my ass up and go out.
We all went to the Mendoza's house to, I guess, "practice". Hah, that turned out well. After 10 minutes of practicing for them, we ended up watching the big screen. After watching Saw 4 streamed from my phone, we ended up just watching a whole bunch of crap from YouTube, streamed again from my phone. The highlight of the night was when we watched "2 girls and 1 finger", "2 kids in a sandbox" and the infamous "2 girls and 1 cup". Haha.
Well, I kinda decided not to bike to the mall yesterday. I really thought deep about it. But I didn't think I was ready for it. Imma guess coming from my place, that's close to 15-20 miles down and back. I think that's too much for now. After I went to the mall for a little with Joy and Christine, I decided to check out Brian's new house. It' about freakin' time he living in one. It's pretty nice and it'll be easier to hang out with the dude cause the house is near mine.
Before I headed to Jon's house to hang out, I decided to go there on a bike. I went to Target first to get myself a bike lock. Right after that, I went straight to the gym. On bike, it isn't really bad and tiring compared to being on foot. But something I know was freakin' hard was going up the hill on the way Jon's house. Gahh, that was no joke.
At Jon's house, we watched a movie and after that, during the time I was there, We prank called or texted a person or two haha. Hopefully they didn't take it personal though.
